The Point Vicente Lighthouse was constructed and activated in 1926 and it is still operational today. Adjoining is the Point Vicente Interpretive Center which contains a museum and is a whale watching site, sighting grey whales migrating from the Bering Sea to their breeding grounds in Baja California every year.
